Lukashenko sworn in for 6th term in unannounced ceremony

Alexander Lukashenko was inaugurated as Belarus president for a sixth term in an unannounced ceremony in Minsk.

The East European country has been rocked by a major political crisis following Lukashenko’s re-election as head of state in August.

Russia has recognized Lukashenko as a legitimate leader of Belarus.
